The race to Aquapor officially began yesterday, the last day for submission of proposals for purchase of the entire capital of the company, held by the group Waters of Portugal (AdP), which ensures the supply to 1.3 million people, that is, 13 % of the national population.

There were more than 30 companies that came aa intention to take part in privatization, though some integrated into consortia, but not all that were identified as potential competitors realized that interest.

Among the proposals delivered until yesterday, in the Caixa BI, the entity which is advising the sale of Aquapor, are of the AGS (group Somague), a consortium led by Fomentinvest, of the group Edifer / Cofihold ( the group Cofina), the Indáqua and Finpro, which aliou to Veolia.
