Brazil: Growth of civil aviation in the Asia-Pacific region brings opportunities for Embraer
Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil, Feb. 20 - Embraer foresees a demand for 1,270 jets in the segment of 30 to 120 seats in the next 20 years in the Asia-Pacific region and China, with a market value estimated at 42 billion dollars, announced today the company.
According to a report by Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica) on the demand for commercial air transport in the Asia-Pacific region and China between 2008 and 2017 will be delivered 610 aircraft and 660 other units between 2018 and 2027.
The current forecast of Embraer shows that demand in the region will be 25 percent higher than the previous estimates. The Asia-Pacific region respond more to China by 17 percent of the total aircraft delivered worldwide in the next 20 years.
"Studies indicate that the segment of 30 to 90 seats, where Embraer acts, will be the backbone of the development of regional aviation in Asia" refers to the Brazilian company.
China accounts for 15 percent of invoicing of Embraer, the third largest market for the construction, right after the United States and the European Union.
The Brazilian company, Embraer aeronaútica, has since 2002 a joint-venture agreement to manufacture aircraft with Aviation Industries of China (AVIC II) in Harbin, in northern China.
The Sino-Brazilian partnership has already produced and delivered in China 20 aircraft and still has a portfolio of applications of 46 contracted aircraft.
Embraer company founded in 1969, manufactures commercial jets up to 120 seats and is one of the largest Brazilian exporters.
With headquarters in Sao Jose dos Campos in the state of Sao Paulo, the company maintains offices, industrial plants and workshops on customer service in Brazil, the United States, France, Portugal, China and Singapore
