Banco Comercial Portuguese (BCP) risks being ordered to pay a fine of three thousand and 750 thousand euros if the Instituto de Seguros de Portugal (ISP) will conclude that the role of the pension fund of the bank in the case of companies "off-shores" used irregularly justifies the application of a counter-ordination to the very serious financial institution.

This scenario may be on the table, since the investigations of supervisors pointed out that portfolio has received commercial paper of the Commercial Real Estate, a company that the BCP will use to disguise the damage caused by those vehicles. This despite the rules of the ISP ban that pension funds buy or receive securities of companies belonging to the same group who are not admitted to trading on a regulated market.
